New Dates in January!

Instructors: Anthony King, John Waldorf

Difficulty: Beginner

$225 per student

Course Overview: Enhance your backyard experience by creating a beautiful wine caddy.  It’s perfect for nights by the fire, or maybe a relaxing afternoon by your beach.  Are you curious if welding can bring your crafting to the next level?  Our instructors will provide a live demonstration of several different welding types and operations.  Safety will be covered as well as setting up the welder correctly for the type of work being done.  Students work in pairs, following the instructor’s guidance, to assemble the caddy using wire feed welders.  Using hand tools, students will work independently to prepare their piece for priming, and prepare the charcuterie board for finish and mounting.  Class focus will be on welding, but attention will be paid to metal fabrication, with demonstrations as time permits.  For the duration of the class, we will provide all the necessary safety equipment and tools needed for welding.

After the work is done, head to the lodge for a wine tasting put on by North Folk Winery!  A variety of wines will be available for tasting as well as full bottles for purchase from the winery staff.  Hors d oeuvres will be served with the wine tasting at no additional cost.  If the weather cooperates, put your wine caddy to the test down by the bonfire and engage in conversation.
